BIRD FEEDER PROJECT (due Friday 3rd February)

We will soon be taking part in the Big Bird Watch, so we have been asked to make some bird feeders in order to help us see as many birds as possible whilst on our nature walks.

Working as a team we will be able to make a big difference to birds living in our local area and our data will also support the UK bird population as well as the wider eco-system. In addition, this activity will also positively contribute towards our own health and well-being whilst we connect with nature and take time to be calm in the great outdoors.

We have attached some ideas below!

PLEASE NOTE: As we are a nut free school, we would suggest your feeders are made using some of the following ingredients: dried fruit, apple, pear, oats other cereal, mashed banana, cheese, suet, oats, meal worms, dried fruit, lard.

If you have a recipe which contain nuts, you can always remove the nuts and double up on something else!
