Homework writing task - 17th November 2023

The Glitch

Year 6 have the exciting opportunity to become published authors as part of this week's homework task.

Your task is to write a short story of no more than 100 words around the theme of "The Glitch". Details can be found here: https://www.youngwriters.co.uk/competitions/KS3-5/glitch

You have been provided with planning sheets and possible story openers to support you with your story writing. You may use one of these openers or create one of your own. 

This story is due on Friday 1st December 2023.

Parents will be contacted for permission prior to entries being submitted. 

Weekly Expectations

- Please read your banded reading book at least 3 times per week and record in your read and record book (this includes any reading that you have done on Bug Club!)

- Log in to Bug Club and complete the quiz questions for at least one book

- Times Tables Rockstars (TTRS) at least twice per week

- Mathletics activities set

- Spelling Shed assignment

We will also be handing out physical copies of some of the activities, allowing you to have a choice if you would prefer to complete your home learning in your home learning books.
