When we return to begin the autumn term 2023 the following timings will apply:
School is open from 8:40am until 3:15pm (32 hours 55mins)
Foundation
Dropping off: Foundation doors will open at 8.55am until Monday 2nd October when their timings will be the same as those for KS1 children. This will give the children time to get used to coming into school in a quieter, less busy environment.
Key Stage 1 (and Foundation from 2nd October)
Drop off: Greenways, Nightingales and Year 2 gates will open at 8.45am and so will classroom doors. We expect children to arrive between 8.45 and 8.55am. We acknowledge that some parents will need to move between classes and year groups with more than one child. We have allowed a 10 minute window to arrive for this reason. Registration begins at 8.55am and closes at 9.10am. Gates will close at 9am. Arrival after the gates close will need to be via the main office. Arrivals after the register closes will be marked as a late arrival in line with our attendance policy.
Pick up: Greenways, Nightingales and Year 2 gates will open at 3.05pm and children will come out at 3.10pm. Gates will close at 3.20pm to safeguard our After School Club children.
Key Stage 2
Drop Off: Chewton Common and the main gate will open at 8.40am and teachers will be on the playground ready to greet the children. Children will line up before being led by the teacher into class. Year 5 and 6 can arrive into the school grounds unaccompanied. We expect children to arrive between 8.40 and 8.50am. Pick up: Chewton and main playground gates will open at 3.05pm. Children in KS2 will come out at 3.15pm to the playground. Years 3 and 4 will need to be met by a parent but year 5 and 6 are allowed, with parental permission, to walk home alone. Parents in year 5 wishing their child to do this will need to let us know in advance via email to the office. We will continue with the arrangements made this year by parents of children in Year 6.
