Our Vision
Highcliffe St Mark Primary School
(A Church of England Foundation School)
We aim to provide the best primary education through an innovative, balanced and forward thinking curriculum in a stimulating environment where all are prepared to embark on future challenges with excitement and confidence.
Our Christian ethos underpins all that we do, our core values of Respect, Compassion and Courage play an important part in achieving the vision for our school community.
We will foster a community of mutual respect and consideration as we believe that all life is precious. We encourage, celebrate and value everyone’s uniqueness and inherent worth. We want children to develop a sense of self-worth, dignity and self-respect. Within the school we encourage all, “to treat others as you would want them to treat you.” (Matthew 7:12)
Being compassionate means putting yourself in someone else’s shoes and experiencing what they experience. This leads to a desire to act, to do something. Everyone is encouraged to show compassion to each other within our school and beyond, we want our children to be thoughtful, caring and considerate individuals who naturally look out for each other.
We want our children to be courageous young people who are confident in social situations, have a positive mind-set and embrace challenges. We want them to become courageous advocates who are empowered to be active global citizens. As a school community we will ensure that everyone feels safe, secure and supported enough to have the courage to face any challenge.
