Eco Action Vision Statement
At Highcliffe St Mark Primary, we are committed to nurturing environmentally aware and responsible young citizens. We believe that children should develop an understanding of the environmental challenges facing our world from an early age. By learning to care for our planet, pupils gain the knowledge, skills, understanding, and values needed to make informed decisions—both individually and collectively.
Our approach encourages children to take meaningful action within their local community and beyond. Across the curriculum, we provide opportunities for pupils to engage with environmental issues, support local and national initiatives, and participate in practical projects that make a real difference.
Our Year 6 Eco Captains play a key role in driving our green initiatives. They:
Lead campaigns and school-wide eco events
Share ideas and updates during assemblies
Chair our Eco Action meetings
We welcome suggestions from all members of our school community. If you have ideas on how we can care for our planet, speak to your Class Eco Representative or a Year 6 Eco Captain. Together, we can make a positive impact on our world!
