Dorset County Finals - Football

On Friday 30th November, Highcliffe St Mark competed in the Dorset Football County finals, having previously competed in, and won, the Christchurch Football Tournament earlier in the month. As this was the first time that we have ever competed in this tournament, the ten boys went with the attitude that they were happy to just compete and that ‘they did not know’ how well they could do.

Evidently, they performed brilliantly: making out of the group stages and all the way to the final of the competition. Unfortunately, our journey finished in the finals as we were beaten 0-1 in a closely fought game. Despite the disappointment, the boys should hold their heads high, having represented the school impeccably and shown a team spirit that has been unrivalled in my time at the school. Congratulations to, in no particular order, the following superstars: Bailey Revill, Alex Morris, Oliver Beckett, Max Walker, Oliver Galloway, George Major, Freddie Franklin, Jake Finnis, Evan Blackmore and Bayley Huxter.
